Genealogy

- All links will open in a new window -

The genealogy section of this site is now in a much more finished form as regards the information than when started at the end of the summer of 1998.  Most of the notes in the Generation Reports have now been augmented, source information has been provided as endnotes to the reports, and most items have been spell checked.  However, there are still lines to be added and information yet to be added to lines present.  Most Generation Reports omit the data for recent generations.  The data is available in many cases; however, it was decided not to post it to the web.

The main surnames of interest at present are:  Blount, Chandler, Kalshoven, LaMartin, Martin, Parker, Raulerson, Stafford, Underhill, Walker, Willingham, and Wyatt

Generation Reports

Here is where the descent charts for the lines we follow are located. Most Generation Reports omit the data for recent generations.  The data is available in many cases; however, it was decided not to post it to the web. Much of this material was compiled by Bobbie LaMartin Wilson (BW) and Kyle VanLandingham (KV), with a small contribution by William LaMartin (WL). The Raulerson material is mostly due to Virgil Raulerson, who passed away October 18,2009.  His obituary, which appeared in the Florida Times Union, may be viewed here. The individual most qualified to answer a question on a particular line is indicated following each surname, e.g., (BW) for Bobbie LaMartin Wilson. Kyle VanLandingham is now deceased as of November 2009. His obituary, which appeared in the Tampa Tribune and Okeechobee News may be viewed here.

Documents as Graphic Images

Images of the original documents. They have been reduced in size so as to fit on a standard 8.5 x 11 page if printed from a graphics program--not from your browser.  The resolution, however, has been maintained so as to allow for better quality printing of the file as well as online viewing.  Unfortunately this creates a fairly large file, requiring some time to download. The collection is small now but will, I am sure, grow.

If you should desire to print out a copy, it would be better to download the file (in Internet Explorer, right click on the link and choose the option "Save Target As...") and open it in a graphics program for printing. Printing from your Internet browser never produces good results for these large graphics files.
