From a postcard. The back reads "New Hotel Southland, Open all the year, Okeechobee City, Fla. The half-way point and overnight stop between South Florida East Coast and West Coast points. Choice two Routes paved all the way. Best hunting and Black Bass fishing in all Florida Reasonable Rates" The hotel stood at the North East corner of highways 441 and 70. It was demolished to make way for a service station, which was in turn replaced by a fast food restaurant. |
