Kissimmee Valley Gazette Obituary of Ellen A Walker September 23, 1910

Mrs. J H Walker
Passes over the River After a Long Illness

On Monday night at 10 o'clock, at ther home at Bassinger, Mrs. J H Walker "passed over the river to rest under the shade of the trees," and her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place on Tuesday afternoon, in the presence of almost the entire population of that section of the county.

Before her marriage to Judge Walker, Mrs. Walker's name was Underhill, being one of a large and influential family in this county, and all of her life had resided in the Bassinger district. She was noted for her many kind and charitable acts, and real happiness to her was in ministering to the needs of others. No event, whether it meant pleasure or charity, ever took place in Bassinger but what Mrs. Walker was among the leaders, and it will be a long, long time before another is found that can fill her place.

When Mrs. Walker died, a loving wife and mother, a true friend and a kind and considerate neighbor passed into eternity.
