DEATH OF MRS. MARY PARKER
BODY INTERRED IN BARTOW

Mrs. Mary E. Parker, a most estimable lady, who has been making her home in Durant for some time, died yesterday after an illness extending over several months. Mrs. Parker was one of the pioneer settlers of this section and lived for many years in this city. She was the mother of Messrs. Louis and Tom Parker of Lake Wales, an aunt of Mr. B. [F.] Blount, mother of Mrs. Strother [Booth] and has many other close relatives in the county. Had she lived until tomorrow she would have been eighty-four [82] years old, but despite her age, she was active until a few weeks ago when taken sick. The body was brought to Bartow this morning and the interment will take place some time today, depending upon the arrival of relatives who are, coming through the country in automobiles. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church and a most lovable character.
