Image 4. Shows the arms of Thomas Blount of Kidderminster, as it appears on the upper part of the tomb (See St.Mary’s website: http://www.stmarys-kidderminster.org.uk/). A.J.Perrett, in his article on the Blounts of Kidderminster, Transactions of Worcestershire Archeological Society, 1942, states that Thomas Blount “quartered the Cornwall rampant lion gules crowned or on a field argent, while he impaled the Poley lion rampant sable crowned gules on a field or.” Thomas Blount’s wife was Margery Poley. Quarter 3 shows three chevronels gu (red) against a silver (ar) engrailed ground.
