Burgert Brothers Photos of
Hyde Park

From Swann Avenue south to Hillsborough Bay and from Rome Avenue east to Hillsborough Bay

Of the 14,000 plus photos in the Tampa-Hillsborough County Library's collection of photos of Tampa taken by the Burgert Brothers, I have found around 150 that are of our immediate neighborhood .  The list below contiains a few additional ones of places very close but outside our official boundaries, since I think they help us better understand our neighborhood.  Examples are Gorrie School and where Bayshore used to terminate at Magnolia.

All images here are Courtesy of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System.

If you would like to investigate the Burgert Collection further, I have made and easily searchable index at http://www.lamartin.com/burgert/.

The descriptions were, I assume,  made by the photographer.  My comments will be in brackets. Corrections encouraged (send to william@lamartin.com)
